Additional Information: Research impeded by multiple spellings of first and last names of this soldier and family members. No information found about his parents. WWI burial card noted beneficiary as George Sawicki, half-brother, 243 Franklin Ave., Bloomfield, New Jersey. A George Sawicki (1889-1980) appears to have lived in both Cleveland, OH and New Jersey. The WWI burial card also cited Mr. Woceke Sawicylsk, uncle, 2624 Woodland Ave., Cleveland, OH, about whom no further information was found.
