Whalen." The burial plot is a single plot, not a family plot. There is no gravestone. Lake View Cemetery staff speculate that some families of that era were unable to afford a gravestone. Some family members were buried in California (see below).

Additional Information: family seemed to have changed surname to Whalen at some point; Seamon Whealon was naturalized on 6/10/1918 while serving at Camp Lee, Virginia; parents immigrated to United States 1897 or 1899; father Levi Whealon (1869-1943), born Canada of Irish ancestry, occupation Milk Peddler and later Stock Manager Dry Goods Store; mother Margaret Jane Gilmore Whealon (1868-1943), born Canada; brother Robert William Whalen (1903-1979); brother Harry Gilmore Whalen (1907-1990); no apparent descendants from either brother, although Robert and his second wife had a stillborn child in 1956; parents and brother Robert buried Goleta Cemetery, Goleta, California; brother Harry died in Oregon; in 1923 Cleveland City Directory, widow Blanche Whealon was living at 2256 E. 100th St., Cleveland, OH and employed as a Clerk at Ohio Bell Telephone Co.; widow Blanche Whealon, age 27, remarried on 6/5/1924 to Arthur R. Taubert, age 27, a Salesman, and they later had 2 daughters
