Additional Information: apparently immigrated alone in 1910 at age 18 with stated ability to read and write and  occupation Laborer, arriving New York Ellis Island from Le Havre, France (with stated previous residence Sankt Ruprecht, Austria) with destination Cleveland, OH; listed father in Austria with same name Anton Tomazin; naturalized 1915 at age 24 with stated occupation Tailor; Gornik's (see image) was a clothing store founded in 1904 by John Gornik from Yugoslavia and located at 6217 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH; Gornik died in the mid-1940's, but the store survived at various locations until it closed permanently in 1982; Anton Tomazin lived nearby the original store at 6105 St. Clair Ave. according to his 1917 draft registration; his naturalization record lists 2 witnesses, described in depth below, as they seem to have had a strong influence in the life of Anton Tomazin: John Gornik 6105 St. Clair Ave. and Frank Paulin 1315 E. 53rd St.; 1930 Census shows John Gornik, age 54, (employer and emergency contact of Anton Tomazin), still living at 6217 St. Clair Ave. with his wife Johanna and 8 children and working there as a Tailor at his own shop; Gornik immigrated from Yugoslavia in 1899; the 1940 Census shows John Gornik, age 64, living at the same aforementioned address with the same family members but working as a secretary at an insurance company; John Gornik died in 1946 and was buried at Cleveland's Calvary Cemetery; Frank Paulin was born in 1887 in Sankt Ruprecht, Austria (same town Anton Tomazin listed as his previous residence on his Ellis Island record), and in 1917 at the time of his draft registration was living at 1315 E. 53rd St., Cleveland, was employed as a Saloon Keeper, and was married with 2 children; in the 1930 Census Frank Paulin was living at 2636 Idlewood Rd., Cleveland Heights, with his wife and 3 children and was employed as a Bank Clerk; in the 1940 Census, Frank Paulin was living at the same aforementioned address with his wife and 3 children and working as a Gas Station Operator; Frank Paulin died in 1967
