father died when William was in his early teens; family lost 2 sons in WWI; William Joseph Nugent’s brother, Private Clifford Aloysius Nugent, was killed in France on 10/8/1918, one month earlier than William. There was a military mass for Clifford on 12/10/1918 at St. Ignatius Church. Burial for both brothers occurred on 4/18/1921 (remains repatriated) at Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland, OH. They were buried next to each other in Lot 187 Sec 20, Grave 2 (William) and Grave 3 (Clifford); father James H. Nugent (1847-1906), born Connecticut; mother Maria Dempsey Nugent (1862-1935), born Massachusetts; additional siblings: Joseph Nugent (?-1950), May Nugent Washington (1886-1944), Lillian Nugent (1888-1951), Ann H.
