(We were unable to definitively identify a deceased World War I soldier with this exact surname with the first initial V, but there were several records with the first name Bruno with multiple variations on the spelling of the last name. Our best educated guess is based on the finding in the book Soldiers of the Great War, by Haulsee, Howe and Doyle, Volume 2, page 50, in which Private Bruno Korasciewiez was listed as a casualty of WWI. However, in that same book Bruno Korasciewiez was listed as having been honorably discharged.)
