Additional Information: multiple spellings of first and last names; military records indicated no record of parents or wife; immigrated 5/4/1910 at age 17 with $55 in his possession aboard SS Oceania from Naples, Italy to New York accompanied by brother Loreto (later known as Lorry) Parravano, who was age 22; both brothers listed as farm laborers with destination Pittsburgh, PA; Gaetano unable to read or write at the time of immigration; parents' names Emidio and Filomena Quadrini; brother Loreto (Lorry) Parravano later married Mary (aka Marietta) and had children William, Anna Coyle and Dorothy Updegrove; there are a total of 4 Parravano men who registered for the WWI draft: Gaetano (1892-1918), Onorio (1888-?); Loreto (1883-1962); and Antonio (1885-?) with many similarities in type of employment and for whom they worked, where they lived in Cleveland, and where they were from in Italy, suggesting that they were brothers or at least relatives; Antonio Parravano mentioned Flomena Parravano as a relative (see Filomena Quadrini mentioned above as Gaetano's mother)
