Tait was employed as a Painting Contractor; on 5/27/1915, at age 23, Clifford married Irene Redecker, age 18, who was born in 1897 in Cleveland; no additional information located about his wife; on 1/27/1932, Mrs. Catherine A.M. Tait (mother) of 435 E. 118th St., Cleveland, OH, filled out an application for a headstone for the unmarked grave of "soldier," to be paid for by the government and delivered to the nearest railroad station; the headstone was shipped on 3/10/1932; headstone was to be engraved and placed by the family; mother Catherine died a widow on 10/6/1941, having outlived her husband and both sons.
